There have been some major milestones and exciting new projects in Quarter Three. Cedar Mill Group founder and Director Paul Lambess with CEO Kyle McKendry and COO Melissa Truscott lead our first annual conference in the stunning Hunter Valley. It was a day of inspiring sessions and presentations from the leadership team, and an opportunity to unite our people around our vision for both businesses.
The next stage of Cedar Mill Lake Macquarie is taking shape with the team from Fabritecture on site and work on the stage roof now commencing. The venues teams also worked on several exciting projects consulting into third parties on venue-related projects.
The teams have had a diverse quarter in events, ranging from the largest rodeo in the southern hemisphere, the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo to presenting at the New Zealand conference Eventing the Future and working on the Pacific Airshow Gold Coast. We have established new clients including Western Melbourne Group who are designing and building Western United’s new home stadium. We supplied event and support staff to the FIFA Women’s World Cup via iEDM and are leaping into the start of the concert season with KISS at Accor Stadium and Mode Festival on Cockatoo Island. We also have crew at Tumbalong Park for SXSW Sydney, a truly exciting event for New South Wales.
In the next quarter with the touring season kicking off in a major way, our events team will be busy working on stadium shows including Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Twice, The Weeknd, Robbie Williams and Mötley Crüe & Def Leppard. This will lead into strong New Year’s Eve festivities with crews working on sites across Sydney including on the Cahill Expressway and North Sydney’s amazing waterside parkland vantage points.
We will also have exciting news for Newcastle locals in the next quarter.
